Bone & Ruby Glass Pendant – Found Object Jewelry

This pendant was made from a real bone I found years ago and kept long before it ever became jewelry. I recently decided to give it new life by cleaning it thoroughly, sealing it, and setting it into a simple metal frame surrounded by deep red ruby glass chips.

The contrast is what makes this piece stand out. The pale, natural bone against the dark, blood-red glass gives it a quiet but unsettling presence. It feels more like a relic than a decoration, something recovered and preserved rather than manufactured.

The bone has been fully cleaned and sealed to protect it and ensure it’s safe to wear. The ruby glass is crushed and set by hand, catching light differently from every angle. No two pieces could ever be exactly the same.

This is not polished or perfect jewelry. It’s meant to feel personal, strange, and a little uncomfortable in the best way.
