Michael Myers Hand-Painted Reclaimed Wood Wall Art With Stand

A one-of-a-kind Michael Myers horror shelf or desk piece made from genuinely old reclaimed wood with a history of its own.

This approximately 7" × 12" piece is CNC and hand engraved, then individually hand-painted and aged in my worn, distressed style. I wanted it to look like something old, weathered, and unearthed rather than something freshly made.

The design features Michael Myers, the Myers house, pumpkins, cemetery imagery, skulls, and ornate gothic detailing, all worked into a deeply textured horror display piece.

What makes this one especially unique is the wood itself.

The wood came from an old barn that was locally known as a haunted “murder barn.” Least thats the story. The barn was eventually torn down, and I bought a large amount of the better surviving wood before the remainder was burned. I estimate this wood to be around 100 to 150 years old, possibly older.

Because this is genuine reclaimed wood, I intentionally did not try to make it look new or perfect. The back has been left largely raw, with only light sanding and stain, so you can still see and feel the age and character of the original lumber.

The wood also has a slight natural bow on the back, while the engraved face remains flat. I chose to leave it that way rather than machine away the history of the board. To me, that slight movement in the wood is part of what makes the piece special. It reflects how the lumber was cut, dried, aged, and survived over all those years.

Each piece is finished by hand, so variations in color, grain, distressing, staining, knots, imperfections, and aging are expected and are part of the artwork.
