Pillar of Souls Inspired Horror Wall Relief — Reclaimed Barn Wood — Signed One-of-One

This is my hand-finished Pillar of Souls inspired wall relief, carved from reclaimed wood taken from a very old barn with a local reputation for being haunted. The design is inspired by the dark mythology of the Pillar of Souls. A place of trapped flesh, suffering, memory, and transformation. I wanted this piece to feel like something that could have been found in a forgotten room, pulled from a cursed wall, or taken from the ruins of something that should have stayed buried.

This is not a flat sign or a quick laser engraving. This is a large 24 inch by 7.5 inch 2.5D carved wood relief with heavy depth, raised figures, faces, twisted bodies, organic frame work, and aged horror detailing throughout. The piece is a mix of CNC and hand carved. Then hand cleaned, rotary detailed, sharpened, stained, sealed, and aged. All by hand using Special Walnut stain and black Gilders wax to bring out the shadows, cracks, faces, ribs, and tortured details.

I have over 100 hours into this piece between CNC setup, rough carving, finish hand carving, hand cleanup, rotary engraving, shaping, sanding, sealing, staining, aging, and final detailing. Pieces like this cost what they do because they are not mass-produced. They take machine time, tool wear, hand work, finishing time, and a lot of problem solving. Every mark, shadow, and darkened recess was worked into it to give it that old cursed-prop look.

The back is signed and dated. It has a hanger installed and rubber wall pads so it is ready to hang.

This is a one-of-one handmade horror art piece. There will never be another exactly like it, because the wood, the grain, the carving, the hand aging, and the reclaimed haunted barn history are all part of this specific piece.
